Lines of resolution. What are they?

The lines of resolution listed for a given camera is a measurement of how much definition and clarity that camera can provide. The more lines a camera has (up to 700) the better the picture it will provide. At EZWatch we offer security cameras with a wide variety of lines of resolution so that people can make the right choice for their particular installations (and their particular budgets). 700 lines of resolution is the top of the line, and it’s what you get when you choose a platinum level camera.

How Many Lines Do You Need?

It depends completely on the installation. If you’re in need of retail surveillance and you need to be able to see every customer in your store as clearly as possible, you might choose a 700 line camera. If you’re less interested in being able to identify faces and simply need to keep tabs on groups or passersby, you might be able to make do with a 420 line or 550 line camera. All the cameras we sell here produce good picture - the lines are simply an expression of exactly how good. If you want HD clarity, go with 700 lines.

Why Vandal Proof?

When you have a vandal proof camera it makes it nearly impossible for would be thieves or troublemakers to damage your camera (and therefore protect their identities). Cameras with strong casings and anchors, like many of the models available at EZWatch, make it extremely difficult to affect the camera in any way. They also (generally) help to protect your camera from more benign forms of wear and tear like weather or an accident.
