550 lines of resolution 550 lines of resolution refers to how crisp and clear the resolution of a certain camera is. 550 lines is high resolution, an excellent choice when you need to have clear shots. It’s our “Gold” standard. “Platinum” level cameras have up to 700 lines of resolution, but for many security installations 550 is more than enough.

The EZDOME-VF-GOLD is intended for indoor use only. It doesn’t have night vision and it’s not weatherproof, so putting it outside and expecting it to perform is a recipe for disaster. When operated indoors, the camera shoots in high resolution full color.
The EZDOME-VF-GOLD is a dome camera, and is therefore very flexible in where it can be installed and how it can be adjusted to get the right shot. The camera can be manually adjusted to get the right angle, framing, and depth of field.
Unless you’re buying a replacement camera, security cameras and security camera systems usually are incomplete without DVRs to record the video you shoot. Can I use this camera outdoors? No. This camera is strictly meant for indoor use in homes, retail operations, or various other buildings.
What are 550 lines of resolution? Is it worth it? 550 lines of resolution, which is high, is our “Gold” level of camera image resolution performance. Our cameras go up to 700 lines of resolution (“Platinum”) but many security operations find that 550 lines is more than enough to suit their purposes.
Can the camera provide good video even in complete darkness? No. While the EZDOME-VF-GOLD records in full, clear color during the day, it is not equipped with night vision capabilities.
How much control will I have over the shot the camera provides me? You will have complete control within the wide ranges of motion the camera offers. You can get any angle between 30 and 60 degrees, you can mount the camera on any wall or ceiling, and you can swivel and adjust the camera within the dome to face any direction you choose. Furthermore the lens on the camera is manually adjustable (4-9mm) and can help you get the perfect shot.
Will this camera be “safe” out of doors? No, this camera is not meant for outdoor use, and is therefore not weather proof, vandal proof, or equipped with night vision.

During the warranty period if your equipment is deemed to be defective due to a manufacturing defect and you are issued an RMA (Return Material Authorization) from our technical support department, we will repair or replace the product. During the 1st 30 days, we will pay for shipping to and from your location on any warranty items. After 30 days, the cost for shipping the product back to EZWatch is the responsibility of the customer.
